The Mortgage Code
Our strategic partner for the loan finder on this site
is Moneysupermarket, a registered Mortgage Intermediary
with the Mortgage Code Compliance Board ("MCCB") and we
are committed to the principles of the Mortgage Code.
You may wish to obtain further consumer information from
the Government's Financial Services Authority web site:
www.fsa.gov.uk.
The Mortgage Code applies to all mortgage lending to
personal customers (ie, to all loans secured on a property
which is owned and occupied by the customer) in the United
Kingdom, except for overdrafts and loans under £25,000
for purposes other than house purchase.
Moneysupermarket does not use a limited panel of lenders.
We endeavour to include the details of every mortgage
lender and mortgage product available in the U.K. today.
The information system (and data) we collect has been
supplied to thousands of Mortgage Intermediaries and Brokers,
for almost ten years. Moneysupermarket is not tied to
a particular lender and therefore, access to the market
is as comprehensive as possible.
Where you select and apply for a loan through the site,
both On The Move and Moneysupermarket act as introducers
to the lender. However, it must be clearly understood
that this site contains only those lenders/products available
to us. It is possible that other products may be available
through other sources.
We also try to ensure that all information is up to date
but we do not warrant that all the information about the
Financial Products is correct in respect of each Financial
Product disclosed on our website. Neither can we warrant
that all the information is accurate even if it is as
up to date as the information that has been provided by
third parties.
We are paid a fee by the lender or product provider and
in the case of a mortgage, where that fee is in excess
of £250, we shall advise you of the specific sum received.
Note, that we do not take a fee from you to provide
you with a product.
There are three different levels of service offered under
the Mortgage Code. These are:
A) Advice and recommendation as to which of the loan
available from the market are the most suitable for you.
B) Information on the different types of loan products
on offer so that you can make an informed choice of which
to take.
C) Information on a single product only, if only one loan
product is offered or if you have already made up your
mind.
On The Move and Moneysupermarket transact business under
option (B), enabling you to search the market and choose
a loan suitable for you from a list of products.
We only provide information on the different types of
Financial Product on offer so that you can make an informed
choice. If you wish to complete an Application Form for
a Financial Product we will pass on the information to
the Financial Institution concerned but we do not warrant
that this is the best Product for your particular needs
and you should confirm the details with the relevant Financial
Institution and seek Independent Financial advice.
We cannot be held responsible if you are refused Facilities
by a particular Financial Institution or only granted
such Facilities subject to conditions that you find unacceptable.
YOUR HOME IS AT RISK IF YOU DO NOT KEEP UP THE PAYMENTS
ON A LOAN OR MORTGAGE SECURED AGAINST IT.
Finally, if you still feel your concern remains unresolved
after going through our partner's internal complaints
procedure and On The Move Ltd's own, then you can still
contact the complaints procedure scheme at:
